Juan Luis Guerra is a Compositor, Producer and Singer is From Dominican Republic, He Is was of the pioneer in Merengue music and Bachata music. Juan Luis Guerra is know like a Man of Faith

Juan Luis Guerra has been so influenced in our that music, that now the bachata and merengue is know around the world, The way he compose his music and his lyrics is when the music and all the instruments and all ready recorded, then he start thinking on the lyrics. He apart to be a composer and producer he like to read poetry most of the time, he says poetry help him to create the lyrics of his songs.

All the lyrics of Juan Luis Guerra have to be with Jesus and Faith.

He obtained his First Grammy with “ Bachata Rosa Album” this album is a really excellent album in all the aspects lyrics, arrangements, and Instrumentation.

In 1990, they released Bachata Rosa, which became a major hit and earned Guerra his first Grammy award. The album, having sold more than five million copies at that time, allowed Juan Luis Guerra to keep touring Latin America, USA and Europe. The album contains famous and memorable love songs such as "Burbujas de Amor" (Bubbles of Love), "Bachata Rosa", "Rosalia", "Como Abeja al Panal" (Like a Bee to Honeycomb), "A Pedir Su Mano" (Asking For Her Hand), "Carta de Amor" (Love Letter), and "Estrellitas y Duendes" (Little stars and elves).

Juan Luis Guerra has been called for numerically charity events around South America and Center America, He says he is inspire in may ways first like a musician with The Beatles and then personally with his Wife and God, the last two are his more important and inspire him to write and Compose Music.

One of his goals in that his music can be play in Country like Japan, and China. In the beginning of his career Juan Luis Guerra use a combination of Jazz and Merengue to compose his music, but later on he realize his Latin arrangements and compositions catch the American people attention we he was studied in Berklee College.

I been listen to Juan Luis Guerra music almost 7 years, for me like a student that like the music would be a privilege to work with him in the future, not only for his music but also to for his faith and for his good acts he do for the people.

I look at your Electronic music entry blog, and it looks you did a pretty good job explaining about Kraftwerk trajectory, but a advice i can give you, is to be more specific about what are you talking and give more details about the topic.

You should keep the same type of Font for each assignment that will make your work more serious. and try to put some pictures or some animation stuff to make your blog more interesting, besides that good job.

Brian Eno

Brian Eno has been one the, of the most influenced in Electronic Music and the pioneer of Ambient music. Eno is a musician, compositor, producer and visual artist, Eno professional music career began in London as a member of the band “Roxy Music”.

Eno start his solo career and created four albums of largely electronically, one’s of Brian Eno new methods of making music or sound was to used a graphic notation to represent what could not be possible be conveyed by conventional notes on a staff.

After couple years Brian Eno continued producing and making “Ambient Electronic” and acoustic albums, he credited the term “Ambient Music”.

In 1973 Brian Eno developed a tape delay system described as “Frippertronics”

Brian Eno also introduced the concept of “Chance Music” to popular audiences, partially through collaborations with other musicians Brian has worked with so many artist like David Bowie, he produced several albums for the “ Talking Heads” for U2 and Coldplay just to mention few.

Brian Eno has had a huge impact in my music career, like innovate new stuff in the industry creating and producing new music. He had the opportunity to worked with so many excellent bands like “Coldplay, U2 , Talking Heads, Depeche Mode, he has been one of the pioneer of Electronic music and Ambient music, So for me like a fan of electronic music Brian Eno is a really influenced in my Music career.

Electronic Music

Kraftwerk

Kraftwerk were the pioneers of Electronic music, Kraftwerk were form by Ralf Hutter and Florian Schneider in 1970. Kraftwerk sound were combines with a lot of synths, repetitive rhythms and catchy melodies, they were also the pioneer of using the vocoder generated by a computer speech software, they used a lot of Flutes, synthesizer, electro violin, electric organ and a vocoder, Kraftwerk music influences in many groups of that decade, using the same style of music and the same style of clothing.

In 1974 they release Autobahn moving away from the sounds of its earlier albums, they start using more sophisticated and advanced synths like the Minimoog. Autobahn was also the last album that Conny Plank would engineer. Autobahn was a success in Europe and United States this album was inspire and creating for the road trips the band had to do. After the success of Autobahn they start touring around Europe, The two albums releases afterward, Radio activity and Trans – Europe Express. They won a Gold disc in France for radio activity even though wasn’t to success in UK and United States, Trans- Europe Express won a disco award in New York. In 1978 Kraftwerk release the Man Machine recorded at the Kling Klang Studio, the cover of the new album was produced in black, white and read, this showed the band dressed in red shirts and black ties.  After three years of the released of Man Machine Kraftwerk released a new album called Computer World the single of this album “The Model” reached the position number one in UK making the “The Model” Kraftwerk most successful record in the UK

Kraftwerk music has directly influenced in many groups of that decade and until now Kraftwerk music still influenced in many groups and artist some examples are: Depeche mode, Gary Numan, Ultravox, Human League and Soft cell and just to name few. Kraftwerk aslo influenced other type of music like hip- hop and minimal electro

Another Kraftwerk influences were their clothing and style. They were also the Pioneer of Led lights with their name on it in the stage.

I like electronic music before I read about Kraftwerk, but for me its good to know who were the pioneer of Electronic music, they influenced so much until now that you can still hear that type of music in radios, podcast and television, Kraftwerk sound is so unique and robotic that just to listen the first seconds of any track you know are them.

Overall your blog is good and works good with the criteria of the assignment. While the Introduction of the Beatles Revolver album were limited in words and resources, You just mentioned how popular the Beatles were but not the actually image before the revolver album. You forgot to mentioned in the New techniques they used, the Reverse they used in pretty much in the whole album. besides that excellent job with the other information. Marvin Gaye Whats going on

Prior the recording of the album " Whats going on " Gaye began singing in his father Church. After couple years he transforms in one of the top artist of the record label Motown Records. With the hit "Ain't that Peculiar " and his duet singles with Mary Wells and Tammi Terell, because all this success Marvin was called "The Prince of Motown" and "The Prince of Soul"

What influenced Marvin Gaye to wrote the lyrics of Whats going on was his brother. His younger brother Frankie has survived a three year tour duty in Vietnam, his intention was to catch and call the people attention with this song. He says this doesn't was a protest song this was a Love Song.
His brother narrate all the bad and sad experience he went through in the war, he described the war as "Hell". He also says all the memories of that time was swimming in blood. Then Marvin ask his brother Frankie what can i do? Frankie told him he can fight in many ways specially with his music.

Berry Gordy told Marvin why do you want to ruin your career ? why do you want to put a song about the Vietnam war? Berry Gordy refused to release "Whats Going on" calling it " The worst thing I'eve ever heard in my life" Marvin immediately issued an ultimatum, until Barry Gordy and his quality control releases "Whats Going on " he would record nothing more for the company.

With the help of Renaldo Obie Benson of the four tops, Marvin start producing Whats going on. Marvin add many things to this track, he added things that where more ghetto , more natural which made it seem more like a story than a song. One of the main reason that this track was different to the other was the Lyrics Marvin used in this track, another fact it was that "whats going on" was the song Motown records didn't want to release with the approval of Berry Gordy. The album instrumentation also provided a more romantic and love atmosphere than the other releases.

Listening to the album "Whats going on" make me understand the real passion someone can have with the music. This is a really great album for all the passion he put on it. His really good mixing album with great techniques and instrumentations.

Velvet Underground & Nico

The Velvet Underground was a combination of music, art and Film.  Lou Reel and John Cale initially started the band. In 1963 John Cale go to United States to take up the Bernstein Scholarship, he also work with avant composer Le Mente Young in New York. In the beginning they try to combine Funky Style with Rock n Roll style for the band, also Sterling Morrison and Lou Reel were both at Syracuse university at that time, in the mid 60's Andy Warhol start managing the band making them combine music, art and film. In 66's the Velvet Underground producer their first album with the new incorporation of a German model Nico. The members of the velvet underground were: Lou Reel, Sterling Morrison, John Cale, Maureen Tucker they first gig were in the Cafe Bizarre

John Cale gifted on piano and violin. He had a reputation as a child prodigy was performing original composition on the BBC when he was just 11 years old, Cale enrolled at london's Goldsmith's college as an Undergraduate classical musical student in 1960. He came to United States to take up the Bernstein Scholarship, he began to work with a Big composer named La Monte Young in his theater of  Eternal Music. John Cale provided for the Velvet Underground he skills with the droning viola the fantastically inventive Bass lines and pulverizing piano assaults, Cale elevated the band from mere noise dilettantes to sonic Futurist.

Lou Reed began attending Syracuse University. He was songwriter, composer and photographer. He was the principal songwriter of the Velvet Underground. Lou wrote about subjects of a personal experience that opens the door for the rock and roll stuff like sex and drugs culture. In 1971 he took the decision to quit the band and start a solo career after a year of his solo career he make a hit the " Walk on the Wild Side "

Andy Warhol start managing and producing the velvet underground, with the intention to combine Music, Art and Film in 66's Andy help the band to Produced their first album. Andy took the decision to incorporate a new member named Nico a German model for the 3 songs of the album.

The velvet underground was different in many aspects to the other bands in the mid 60"s with the incorporation of Andy Warhol they start combining Music with Art. the band also became part of his multimedia roadshow. Their shows included 16mm film projections and color by Andy. Later the band get influenced by the folk music, another reason they change their sound and make it different to the other bands were the Vox amplifiers and the assorted fuzzboxes.

I didn't know about the Velvet Underground before i took this class, is not my type of music but i like the mix and the vocals in the album. I think velvet underground influenced a lot of bands in this time because you can heard a lot of bands playing the same style.

Prior the revolver album the Beatles were know worldwide, for all their hits and Huge touring concerts.

They were, know for their lyrics and style. They conquered the rock pop music in England and the world. They were John Lennon (Guitars, vocals) Paul McCartney ( Bass, Vocals)  Ringo Star ( Drums, Vocals) George Harrison ( Acoustic Guitar, Vocals )

Revolver album was difference to the other Beatles album's. this album was psychedelic in all the aspects. in the sounds in the way the inspire and some of the instruments and techniques they used for this album. one's of the ways they inspire for this album was the fact of using marihuana before and after records their tracks. But one of the most, Influence of the album was the book called: Psychedelic Experience (A book bases on the Tibetan Book of the dead) (Tomorrow never knows) they were inspire in the scriptures of this album for they lyrics

The way the Beatles used the studio like a instruments refers they used a lot of effects and techniques to create this sounds of the Revolver album. sound like Double tracking John Lennon vocals, Compressors, they used a lot of reverse to create the psychedelic sounds. didn't stop them to create this sound knowing they could not do that sounds in live. they start creating new sounds for everywhere using open hit hats and insert a reverse so that gave them other type of sound. 

One of the two innovations of the Beatles in this Album was the technique of the Reverse they used in a lot of the instruments, like the hit hats, vocals, etc. Another innovation they used was the Leslie speaker John Lennon used for his psychedelic vocals. other technique they used was the Automatic Double Tracking to give more power for the lead vocal, this was the fast way the engineer can make his vocals louder.

This album was little bit difference of what they normally do before. But for me sounds pretty good for that time, the mix and the production is really good. I like how they innovate techniques and sounds for this album so that for me is something to admire.
